White Tulips Award

I was honored to win third place in the Diversity of Southwest Ohio Photo Show at Middletown Arts Center recently. This photo of white tulips won third place in the Nature category.

I shot this photo with my iPhone in our great room. The room has 2 skylights and is surrounded by windows so there's loads of beautiful natural light. I just happened to be in the "right place at the right time" with the lighting and the tulips and grabbed the nexus of events to capture the gorgeous flowers.

My joy is in capturing unique events such as this as they naturally appear. The lack of expectation is liberating and so meaningful.
